BIG NEWS!! I did it! I got myself the BERNINA L89

BIG NEWS!!

I did it! I got myself the BERNINA L890! I’m not easily impressed by machines and this overlocker/serger literally blew me away with all that it can do.

I’ve shown it off on a few recent videos on YouTube (SookieSewsTV.com) and definitely expect to see more coming in the near future.

We’re planning on an unboxing over the next few weeks and some “how-to” videos on this beautiful beast of a machine.

I feel like I’ve just touched the surface as to what it can do so I’m excited to really dive into learning all its capabilities and of course share them with you.

I’d like to give a BIG shoutout to my local @berninausa dealer, @keepmeinstitches_ . The owner Corrina and her shop manager Allen were so good to Bear and I when we did some filming and opened the machine up.

I can’t say this enough, it’s so important to have a local dealer you both like, trust, and will provide you the support and education you need. I don’t care if you have to drive 3 hours to get to their shop. As long as they make you feel special when you walk into their doors, that is the most important! Corrina and Allen do that for me and when we left not only did I know I made the right choice of machine but also my dealer.

If you have any interest in learning more about this lovely machine, run don’t walk, to your local BERNINA dealer and tell them Sookie sent you. Just be warned, bring your money ;)

P.S. I want to thank Chestnut Ridge Sewing in Ohio for shipping and loaning one of her floor models to me in preparation for a class I was teaching in their shop two weeks ago. If it weren’t for Dawns kindness to send me the machine, I’d not have been so quickly introduced to the BERNINA L890 and would have missed out. Thank you!

Thirteen years of my HeidiCat. I followed other mothers wisdom and savored every single age along the way.

I made myself available so I didn’t miss any experience. I never for a minute regret leaving the corporate world with steady paychecks and benefits and starting my own business. Being an entrepreneur was good for Heidi to see. Working twice as hard for half as much for many years only made me try harder and I always had Heidi cheering me on.

I did it for Heidi and it changed my life (our lives) for the better. I ended up finding true love and couldn’t ask for a better step dad for her.

We have a sweet and simple life and we love our home together.
